Gov. Sarah Palin's Unclear Decision to Resign
Posted On 07/07/2009 07:53:27 by inameetingbiz

Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin and her decision to resign with 18 months left in her term have sparked much confusion among conservatives and political strategist.

Palin, who gained mainstream visibility in the 2008 election by accepting the challenge of vice presidential candidate, has complained of unfair attacks on her family and the high cost to taxpayers in investigations of questionable abuse of power.

Some experts believe the unexpected announcement by Sarah Palin maybe a strategy to free her from current duties to prepare for a 2012 Republican presidential nomination. Other analysts fear this sudden announcement to step down with only 18 months left will project a negative light on her career in the political arena.

“Quitter”, is a word that has been attached to Palin’s name by conservatives and many others.

Presidential campaign advisors and mainstream media personalities, have no insight on why she made this unclear decision. Some veteran senators believe a governorship is a better position than a private citizen in seeking a presidential nomination.
